THE MARFIELD PRIZE
began with a generous gift.
The Marfield Awards began from the spirit of generosity entrusted by Jeannie S. Marfield to the Arts Club of Washington. Her charitable contribution inspired another devoted Arts Club member, Mary Lynn Kotz, to build the foundations of the National Award for Arts Writing or the Marfield Prize. Many people contributed hundreds of hours, monetary donations and enthusiasm into making the Marfield Prize into what it is now. We hope that Jeannie Marfield’s legacy in the form of the Marfield Prize will continue for many more decades to come.
Of course, we welcome any amount you wish to donate to support the Marfield Prize fund this year.
